‘And so, my friends,’ he said, looking back at each one of us in turn, ‘it falls to me to pass this burden to someone other than myself. I dare not ask, yet I hope that you will take it for me. The statue must be recovered and destroyed before these men find it.’

EUROPE, 1925. The continent still licks its wounds from the devastating war that raged across it a few years before. Meanwhile, in London, an ageing professor has uncovered the clues to the whereabouts of pieces of an ancient statue, all but forgotten by history.

When his investigations lead him to fear for his life, he enlists the aid of an unlikely group of allies; a retired colonel, a secretive academic, a magician’s wife, and a Yorkshire matriarch with her reluctant assistant.

Together they will journey across Europe to recover the long-lost statue. They will travel in style, on the most luxurious train the world has ever seen. Unbeknownst to them, however, their activities have already attracted the attention of a sinister cult, desperate to acquire the artefact for their own dark purposes, and now a terrible creature, trapped for centuries, senses that the opportunity for revenge has come at last...

THE EXPRESS DIARIES is a tale of a journey into darkness and horror on the world's most famous train.

It is available as a luxury hardcover, extensively illustrated throughout by Eric M. Smith, and including 16 colour plates, from Innsmouth House - or as an eBook through Amazon's Kindle Store (or here in the UK)
You can also order it directly from me for £11.99 + postage while stocks last! The hardcover will be sent first class within 3 working days (I know, I know, but bear in mind I have a day job as well! You can read all about it in the blog, if you're feeling masochistic).

***EDIT*** I'm afraid I'm down to my last few copies now, and examining them, I'm sad to discover that all of the remaining copies have some mould damage (not severe but noticeable) to the front and back pages (to the maps - the cover and rest of the books are fine), so if you still want a book you're welcome but please bear that in mind!

The Express Diaries signed hardcover (includes postage)

".. shot-through with a pitch black seam of Lovecraftian horror - Nick Marsh's fast-paced chiller is a horror triumph." - Bizarre magazine

"I would recommend this book to anyone, if only to show how writing should be done... It’s a really good story, too, full of complexities and twists and a great big dollop of horror." - The Horror Zine

"This book is a must have for any fans of his [Lovecraft's] work as well as anyone who loves a good, old-fashioned horror story. 9/10" - Impact Online

"If you like your horror a little more classy, or perhaps you’re a fan of everything and anything Lovecraft, period horror such as Dracula or H. G. Wells (or even a good mystery romp like Agatha Christie), I urge you to buy the ticket and take the ride on The Express Diaries. Thoroughly recommended." - Snakebite Horror

"If you enjoy horror, if you enjoy role-playing, heck, if you love the Knights of the Dinner Table 'scream of Kachoolu' then give The Express Diaries a read. Or, if you are just in between campaigns and need a Call of Cthulhu fix. Regardless, you'll have a good read." - Knights of the Dinner Table #196
